Goodbye from CLC
It is with a heavy heart that we have made the decision to close Camp Lantern Creek for good. As you all know, COVID-19 has had a significant impact on small businesses and we are no exception. Our team and our community have come together like never before this year to adapt to these changing times, and for that, we are deeply grateful.
While camp was always full of jokes and fun (and we know the timing is ironic with today being April Fool’s Day), we want to be very clear that, unfortunately, this is not a joke.
Our team will be sending refunds via mailed check to those currently registered for a summer 2021 session within the next 30 days. Please ensure your mailing address is correct in your CampInTouch account by April 7 in order to receive your refund. We appreciate your patience as we process refunds. In the meantime, the CLC staff will be signing off this weekend as we process this news and take time to grieve.
We will be donating all remaining camp merchandise at the end of April, so now is your
chance to visit our online store and stock up on reminders of your time at Camp Lantern Creek.
If you are looking for another camp for your daughter, we recommend Rocky River Ranch. This is where Piper fell in love with summer camp and it runs a similar model to what we created at Camp Lantern Creek. Spots are limited this summer, so do not delay registering if you are interested.
It has been our greatest joy to watch our campers grow, reach their potential, find their voices, celebrate both new achievements and great tries, all while building lifelong friendships. We hope that you, our Creeker community, will continue to cherish the memories and laughs we all experienced on our treasured campsite for years to come.
Happy Trails,
Sunni Markowitz (Piper)
